THE FENCE

The Truth Sets Free

I was not able to catch the whole program called "The Fence" but from what I could see it was a surface attempt to explain that the fence should not be there because "I have been on both sides of that fence," says Trudeau. "I have laughed with the people there and shared their fears and frustrations. They are just people." (Unfortunately he left out the "JUST PEOPLE" WHO ARE WILLING TO STRAP ON A BOMB AND KILL MANY INNOCENT PEOPLE!!!) Is that his idea of "just people" ?

I SAW VERY LITTLE REFERENCE TO THE NECESSITY OF THE FENCE. The unfortunate lack of depth and seeking the real truth leaves one to "feel" that the fence is unjustified.

Well I would say that saving innocent lives of those that live in Israel IS JUSTIFIED! Is Mr. Trudeau saying that he would leave his door unlocked and open when there are "wild animals" outside? The wild animals are the Palestinian terrorists who have been taught to hate from a young age.

Why not some outrage at the textbooks which teach young Palestinians of elementary school age to hate and kill Israelis? Why not point out that it is too bad that so many Palestinians are willing to listen to their corrupt leaders like Arafat who takes aid money and builds himself more homes and leaves his Palestinian brothers to live in such places as Jenin. He cares NOTHING about his brother Arabs. He just wants as he said once, "to drive Israel into the sea". And he has to keep his people poor and uneducated so they will be his willing angry slaves.

When was the last time that you heard of an Israeli suicide bomber? The fault is on one side, NOT TWO as Mr. Trudeau would like us to believe. I know there are many innocent Palestinians but unfortunately by listening to their terrorist leaders they have brought destruction and hardship on themselves. Do they blame their leaders who encourage the suicide bombers? Or do they blame the Israelis for making life harder due to the fence? From the program, we get the feeling that the fence is unjust BUT IT WAS NOT POINTED OUT THAT IT IS NECESSARY TO PREVENT THE BLOODSHEDDING OF INNOCENT ISRAELI JEWS AND ISRAELI ARABS.

Arabs who live on the Israeli side are treated with respect and dignity. If they are citizens, they receive the same healthcare and privileges as Jews. Can the same thing be said of Jews who live on the Arab side of the fence?

I am not Jewish. But I can at least not encourage hatred of Jews and anti-semitic feelings that can be the only result of this "seemingly innocuous" story. Shame on W5 and shame on CTV to allow a story which seems to lay the blame for the fence on the Jewish side when all they are trying to do is protect themselves.

There used to be an alternative to the RADICAL LEFTISTS WHO RUN THE CBC, but unfortunately that APPEARS to be gone and now we have two radical leftist networks. It is sad that I have to abandon the CTV network which I watched for so many years due to it's unbiassed reporting. It is sad I have to turn to U.S. PBS stations to hear reasonably balanced news, but I do.

battling apathy: A Battle in the War on Ethnocentricity

battling apathy: A Battle in the War on Ethnocentricity

Aryn:

It is not "our" confusion. We always get confused when we follow "our" ideas because we are human and subject to emotions and passions. That is why there are absolutes. Your idea about women being repressed is not in the Christian Bible. Paul said that "there is neither Jew nor Greek, male nor female" but that all Christians are one and equal to each other.

Now if we look at the outcomes of what we people do .... that I would agree is another story.

There are religions where man is reaching up to try to find a God and then there is Christianity where God reached down and in fact came down to find man. The product of this are many of the great institutions of this world, schools for all not just the rich, hospitals likewise, in fact most universities at least in North America were established originally as Christian institutions of higher learning, and in fact democracy itself with all its flaws. All of these and more originated from Christian outreach to those who were less fortunate.

Now I do not see or know of any religion in the world more anti-people than Islam. The Koran talks about killing the infidels. More moderate, usually westernized, Muslims have left this belief but if you go anywhere in the world today where there are massive killings, it is often Muslims trying to kill off the non-Muslim population. (Sudan being one current example where the Muslims are attempting very well to kill off the Christian blacks.) And of course the middle east.... Have you ever heard of a Jewish suicide bomber? Arabs who live in the Jewish state are treated the same way and have the same benefits as non-Jews. It is the ones who have deliberately been kept poor by Arafat or Saddam Hussein or the like and taught to hate Jews and Christians who send their children to die for "Allah", a god made up by Mohammed after searching thru about 360 Gods that the ancient arabs use to have.

There are many religions, but only one God, not Allah, but the real God found in the Bible. And there is only 1 son of God who came to earth, died as a sacrifice for us to satisfy the requirements of the Jewish law and then rose again and went back to heaven. Even tho we as people have messed with the original ideas and done terrible things sometimes because of "our" messing, the originator, the creator still reigns.

P.S. What a fortunate person you were to have seen those so often. Only saw them briefly on our month-long tour across the U.S., to B.C. and then an Alaska cruise.

CBS NEWS USED TO BE NEWS! NOW IT IS A LIBERAL COMMERCIAL!!
Try looking at the CBS EVENING NEWS site. News used to be news. Now it is an unpaid ad for the Democratic Party! If you look over the site, you see many negative references to President Bush. Many questions about his National Guard service. I noticed NO QUESTIONS about John Kerry's scant 4 month service questioned by many who served with him. Especially the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth at . Most of the people who knew and served with Kerry, do NOT SUPPORT HIM. Wonder why? Check out their website!!! We got tired of listening to the CBS EVENING VIEWS WITH DAN RATHER because it was so slanted to the left that I had to go to my chiropracter the next day to get the crook out of my neck!!

Has Dan Rather ever interviewed the Swift Boat Veterans??? If not, why not? Isn't news supposed to be checking out BOTH sides of an issue INSTEAD OF ADVERTISING ONE SIDE??? I remember when news used to news, not views! And why didn't Rather interview the family of the late National Guard commander of President Bush's younger years? Well could it be that I heard reported that the son said that the memos were not how his dad would speak?? So why would Rather interview him when it would shoot down his socialistic liberal Bush-hating redneck-newsman bias???

Sorry Dan, but when YOU retire (I hear next February), we won't miss you. We will just hope and pray that your replacement believes in the REAL NEWS not "NEWSMAN VIEWS" ! Maybe then the once most-listened-to nightly NEWS show will recover from its basement standing! SUNSET FOR RATHER Posted by Hello
